Overview
A leading specialist insurer is seeking an Interim Treasury Transformation Lead to drive a major redesign of its Treasury operating model. This newly created role plays a key part in delivering improved financing structures, optimising banking relationships, and overseeing the operational transformation of the Treasury function. The position sits within a broader Investments & Treasury modernisation project and reports directly into the Head of Investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead negotiations with banking partners and manage key external financing relationships.
- Assess, design and deliver financing solutions that meet business requirements.
- Review industry best practice in financing for insurance/financial services organisations.
Treasury Operating Model Transformation
- Lead the transformation programme to implement a revised Treasury operating model.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across Investments, Finance, Risk, and Operations.
- Build and oversee detailed project plans, ensuring progress against milestones.
- Identify, track and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies.
- Develop and implement new processes, MI, controls, and governance structures.
Strategic / Cross‑Functional Delivery
- Support delivery of papers to investment or governance committees as required.
- Provide SME guidance in financing and treasury‑related matters.
- Depending on workload, contribute to the wider Investments operating model transformation.
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Extensive experience in Treasury, Financing, Corporate Finance or similar roles within financial services (insurance, banking, asset management, or corporate treasury).
- Demonstrable experience leading complex transformation, operating model change or treasury modernisation programmes.
- Strong negotiation skills with banks and financial counterparties.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior management and external partners.
- Experience in regulated environments.
- Calm, structured and detail‑oriented under pressure.
Must Have Insurance Industry Experience
