An opportunity to join a high-performing finance team within the London Market, supporting core reporting, cash, and commission processes during a busy reporting cycle. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical capability, ownership mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of commission and cash processes, ensuring accuracy and control
  • Deliver month-end and quarter-end close activities, including:
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Data validation and revaluations
  • Act as SME for cash-related balances and resolve operational queries
  • Support Group reporting requirements, including Board and senior stakeholder reporting
  • Ensure robust financial controls are maintained and evidenced
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Assist with management accounts and reconciliations
  • Provide oversight and guidance to outsourced finance processes
  • Identify and drive process improvements and efficiencies
  • Skills & Experience

    • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
    • Circa 3+ years PQE, ideally within insurance or reinsurance
    • Strong understanding of:
    • Insurance accounting
    • Reinsurance (desirable)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a controls-focused mindset
  • Ability to take ownership and work autonomously
  • Proven experience working in fast-paced reporting environments
  • Ideal Candidate Profile

    • Prior Lloyd’s / London Market experience strongly preferred
    • Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-driven
