Technical Delivery Lead – AI & Digital Transformation

We're looking for an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to drive the delivery of modern digital, data, integration and AI solutions, while helping teams adopt smarter engineering practices and more effective ways of working.
This is an opportunity to combine technical leadership, delivery excellence and emerging AI capabilities to improve how technology products and solutions are designed, built and delivered.
What you'll be doing
- Lead multidisciplinary technology teams from early discovery and solution design through to production and ongoing support.
- Translate business objectives into prioritised roadmaps, delivery plans and measurable outcomes.
- Establish effective Agile practices that improve collaboration, transparency, predictability and team ownership.
- Work closely with product, project, architecture, engineering and business stakeholders to manage priorities, dependencies, risks and delivery commitments.
- Help teams break down complex requirements into actionable features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Champion engineering excellence through automation, continuous integration and delivery, testing, security and operational monitoring.
- Develop and embed a practical AI Delivery Lifecycle, enabling teams to use AI-assisted development tools responsibly and effectively.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, standardise delivery practices and create reusable engineering assets.
- Communicate progress, challenges, decisions and business value clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
What we're looking for
You'll bring a strong blend of technical credibility, delivery leadership and the ability to bring people together around shared goals.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A proven track record leading complex technology delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience delivering cloud-based software, digital, data or integration solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks and the ability to adapt approaches to different team and business environments.
- Experience coaching teams, improving delivery maturity and building high-performing, accountable squads.
- Confidence translating business needs into well-defined, prioritised delivery backlogs.
- A solid understanding of modern software engineering, automation, DevOps and continuous delivery.
- Experience managing delivery risks, dependencies, budgets, suppliers and senior stakeholder expectations.
- An interest in, or practical experience with, AI-assisted development tools and AI-enabled solutions.
Experience in enterprise or regulated environments, cloud platforms such as Azure, and delivery tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps would be advantageous.
