A growing Lloyds of London market reinsurer and insurer are expanding their Syndicate FP&A function due to the recent launch of a new syndicate. Reporting directly into the Head of Syndicate FP&A, you will be a key member of the team in contributing to the development and delivery of financial plans and enhancing analytics.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with the FP&A team to prepare and deliver annual Lloyd’s UK GAAP plans and quarterly reforecasts, maintaining consistency with Syndicate Business Forecasts and internal expectations.
  • Partner with the reserving, underwriting, and reinsurance teams to analyse performance drivers and assess the forecast underwriting results of each Syndicate and related SPA.
  • Prepare detailed management information and commentary for the Managing Agency Committees, Board, and Investor Relations team — including analysis of actual vs. plan results, quarterly movements in year-of-account ultimates, and other key financial insights.
  • Support liquidity management through quarterly cashflow forecasting, scenario stress testing, and reporting to management committees.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the QMB and work with underwriters to review Syndicate performance against business forecasts.
  • Engage in finance-related and broader transformation projects, supporting process improvements and enhancing the quality and efficiency of financial planning and analysis across the business.

You must be:

  • Good knowledge and experience of an Insurance P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Experience in a finance role within another Lloyds, Company Market or London Market Insurer.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of analysing and modelling large data sets.
  • Highly analytical in your approach, enjoys problem solving, understanding the why behind the numbers.
  • Confident, energetic and personable.

Salary on offer is up to £70k + bonus, benefits and hybrid working (3 days in the office).
