A leading global financial services organisation is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Analytics & AI Risk Management to join its established IT Risk function. This is a unique opportunity to become the subject matter expert for Data, Analytics and AI Risk within a global business that is actively expanding its AI capabilities. The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape and mature the organisation's risk and control environment during a critical growth phase.
The Role
Working within the first line of defence, you will partner with Data, Analytics, AI and Technology teams to strengthen risk management practices and ensure controls are effectively designed, implemented and embedded. This is a highly hands-on position suited to an experienced risk professional who enjoys operating close to the business and driving practical outcomes rather than purely oversight or governance activity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading Data, Analytics and AI risk assessments and RCSAs
- Supporting the design, implementation and enhancement of risk and control frameworks
- Identifying control gaps and driving remediation activities
- Embedding new policies and standards into business operations
- Advising stakeholders on emerging Data and AI risks
- Facilitating workshops and influencing senior business and technology leaders
- Supporting control maturity, assurance readiness and governance reporting
- Ensuring risk management enables innovation and business objectives
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong Line 1 Risk & Controls experience
- Data Risk, Analytics Risk and/or AI Risk expertise
- Practical AI Governance implementation experience
- RCSA, control design, control testing and remediation experience
- Experience operating within large, complex or highly regulated organisations
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- The ability to balance effective governance with commercial pragmatism
- Experience within Financial Services, Insurance, Banking or other regulated industries would be highly advantageous.
