We’re supporting a leading Lloyd’s Market insurer on the appointment of a Senior Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will take a leading position in the monthly US GAAP and annual UK GAAP reporting process across multiple entities, while also supporting improvements to controls, reporting, and process efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead UK GAAP statutory reporting across multiple entities.
- Support monthly US GAAP management reporting and close.
- Maintain financial controls across reporting cycles.
- Support audit processes and external auditor liaison.
- Assist with policy documentation and process improvements.
- Contribute to automation and enhancement of reporting processes.
- Support quota share/reinsurance accounting and reconciliations.
- Review work and support junior team members where required.
Ideal background:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong insurance accounting experience, ideally Lloyd’s/London Market.
- Experience with UK GAAP and US GAAP reporting.
- Strong Excel and systems skills (Workday desirable).
- Good understanding of financial controls and audit processes.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
