An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced BI Product Lead to join a well-established London Market insurer as they continue to invest in their data and reporting capabilities. This is a business-facing role where you'll act as the bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, helping to shape reporting solutions that deliver genuine business value. Rather than being a hands-on developer, you'll work closely with business users to understand reporting requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate these into clear specifications for delivery by Data Engineers and BI teams. This role would suit someone looking to take the next step into a product-focused leadership position.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Gather, analyse and document business and data requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical delivery teams.
  • Own the lifecycle of BI and reporting solutions from discovery through to implementation and user adoption.
  • Work closely with Data Engineers and BI Developers to ensure reporting solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support UAT, stakeholder engagement and successful rollout of reporting products.
  • Champion data quality and promote best practice across reporting and analytics.
  • Help drive standardisation and continuous improvement of reporting processes.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience within the Lloyd's or London Market insurance sector.
  • Previous experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Owner or similar data-focused role.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently across all levels of the business.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements for reporting or data solutions.
  • Good understanding of SQL, Power BI (or similar reporting tools) and Excel.
  • Knowledge of data models, reporting processes and data quality principles.
  • Experience working alongside technical delivery teams within data or BI environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative approach.

If you have a strong understanding of the London Market, enjoy working with stakeholders and have a passion for turning business requirements into meaningful reporting solutions, we'd love to hear from you.
