The Retail arm of a London Market Insurer is actively hiring for a Senior Reinsurance Technician with a Credit Control background to join the team in a pivotal role ensuring the rigorous management of reinsurance technical accounts across Europe. You will be part of a team of 5 based in their brand new offices in central London and will have oversight of an offshore team providing day-to-day support.
Responsibilities will include:
- Oversight of the settlement of reinsurance premiums and ensuring robust credit control process is in place and followed.
- Ensure premium payables and reinsurance recoveries collection targets are continuously achieved.
- Lead the set up and review of reinsurance contracts, slips, premium allocations and cover notes issued by third parties.
- Challenge processes and develop action plans to enhance efficiency, propose solutions and strengthen controls.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and meet business goals.
You will have:
- Significant experience in the Reinsurance sector and possess strong knowledge of technical reinsurance principles.
- Proven expertise in credit control within Insurance/Reinsurance.
- Proactive approach towards process improvement and able to provide examples of this.
- Open-minded and adaptable to fast growing and changing environments.
- Thrive in a highly collaborative environment.
