Overview:
We are supporting a specialist insurer in hiring a driven and technically strong financial accountant to join their Financial Reporting team. This is a key role within the UK insurance entity, providing full oversight of quarterly and annual reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of quarterly group reporting deliverables
- Lead preparation of annual statutory accounts, manage auditor queries, and ensure all technical reviews are addressed
- Deliver accurate financials for the regulated insurance entity, with full end-to-end reporting responsibility
- Support year-end audit process and ensure timely sign-off of accounts
- Liaise across the wider finance team and key stakeholders within the group
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), ideally with post-qualified experience in industry
- Previous experience in insurance or financial services preferred
- Strong understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting
- Comfortable working independently and driving processes through
- Open to candidates from audit (Big 4/top 10) with strong client-facing experience in FS or insurance
