We’re supporting a leading Lloyd’s Market insurer on the appointment of a Senior Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will take a leading position in the monthly US GAAP and annual UK GAAP reporting process across multiple entities, while also supporting improvements to controls, reporting, and process efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead UK GAAP statutory reporting across multiple entities.
  • Support monthly US GAAP management reporting and close.
  • Maintain financial controls across reporting cycles.
  • Support audit processes and external auditor liaison.
  • Assist with policy documentation and process improvements.
  • Contribute to automation and enhancement of reporting processes.
  • Support quota share/reinsurance accounting and reconciliations.
  • Review work and support junior team members where required.

Ideal background:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong insurance accounting experience, ideally Lloyd’s/London Market.
  • Experience with UK GAAP and US GAAP reporting.
  • Strong Excel and systems skills (Workday desirable).
  • Good understanding of financial controls and audit processes.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
