New role for a Legal & Wordings Counsel for a leading, multi-national specialty (re)Insurer. The role is a 12-month maternity cover role, looking for a January 2026 start.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing key Insurance agreements and contracts.
- Supporting the underwriters on policy wordings queries, ensuring the suite of wordings is up to date.
- Advising underwriters regarding endorsements and changes to policy wordings across multiple lines of business.
- Advising on key commercial insurance agreements, including NDAs, TOBAs, Binding Authority Agreements and TPAs.
- Assessing and advising on key regulatory changes affecting the business from a legal perspective, including FCA, PRA and Lloyd's regulations.
- Occasionally supporting on litigation and arbitration matters where needed.
The successful candidate must be minimum 4 years PQE, with strong experience in Insurance Law, ideally within London Market/Lloyd's. You will be a first time mover from Private Practice, or working in-house for a leading (re)Insurer. Experience of drafting policy wordings is advantageous. You must be able to start within the next month.
