Arthur are working with a high growth global specialty insurer, who are going through end to end transformation. Finance is on a transformational journey. The role is responsible for accounting processes; preparation of manual journals, review of sub-ledger accounting processes prepared offshore, and month end close reporting to group.
The successful individual will ensure that there is clear, complete and accurate documentation that covers all the relevant deliveries defined in the project scope and will support the team with the on-time completion of deliverables and governance.
Preparation of manual journals for the month end financial close to agreed month end timetable and group playbook requirements in Oracle. Monitor the quality and timeliness of offshore sub-ledger transaction processing. This will include quality assurance reporting and feedback to management.
Preparation of accounting processes such as balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations to agreed month end timetable and group playbook requirements.
This opening requires a finance professional with 1-4 years’ experience in an accounting role, ideally from a large, complex and global business. On the job training will be provided, but it is essential to have knowledge of accounting standards and financial accounting terms.
Maintaining and reviewing excel based reports, producing reports and journal calculations, reviewing reconciliations and analysing information, as well as suggesting process improvements. The role will be responsible for meeting these deadlines, providing timely support to the offshore team and supporting the team in meeting deadlines.
Addressing any month end issues with sound resolutions using your well-developed accounting knowledge and skills. Experience of using complex financial systems (Oracle EBS essential) alongside MS Office and Excel are a must. Strong communication skills are required as this role will involve partnering with numerous internal and external stakeholders, including tax, audit and our offshore team amongst others.
