We’re supporting a growing insurance group on the appointment of a Finance Transformation Lead for an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to extend. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the CFO and will play a key part in shaping the future finance function as the business continues to grow through acquisition and transformation activity.
The business is looking for someone with strong finance transformation experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key responsibilities:- Lead the design, documentation, and implementation of a new Finance Target Operating Model across the group.
- Review, redesign, and document finance processes, controls, and operating procedures.
- Assess and support the selection and implementation of finance systems and technology solutions.
- Develop organisational structures and support workforce planning, including drafting role profiles where required.
- Design and deliver training programmes to support new ways of working.
- Lead finance integration activity for acquired businesses, ensuring alignment with the wider operating model.
- Partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership team to drive transformation objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation, standardisation, and improved financial governance.
- Degree educated, with a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Proven experience delivering or supporting finance transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of finance operating models, processes, controls, and systems.
- Experience within insurance or other regulated financial services environments would be advantageous.
- Track record of driving process improvements and managing change initiatives.
- Experience supporting business integration, M&A activity, or operating model redesign is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong systems and technology capability, with experience evaluating or implementing finance solutions.
- Initial 6-month contract with potential extension.
