Business Applications Operations Manager – Insurance

£110,000 + up to 25% Bonus
We’re partnering with a leading Lloyd’s and London Market insurance business looking for a Business Applications Operations Manager to take ownership of its core application estate.
This is a hands on leadership role, managing a team of Business Application Analysts while overseeing applications across underwriting, claims, finance, pricing and exposure management .
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the day to day operation and performance of business critical applications
- Managing and developing a team of Application Analysts
- Acting as the escalation point for complex application and production issues
- Managing application changes, releases, upgrades and configuration
- Working closely with Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Actuarial teams
- Managing third party vendors, SLAs, licensing and application roadmaps
- Driving automation, service improvement and application optimisation
- Maintaining strong application access, security and governance controls
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Business Applications, Application Support or Business Systems experience
- Previous leadership or line management experience
- Experience within insurance, reinsurance or the Lloyd’s/London Market, FS
- Knowledge of ITIL, incident, problem and change management
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management experience
- Technical knowledge across SQL, Azure, Power BI and Microsoft 365
Experience with platforms such as Sequel Eclipse, Sequel Claims, Hyperexponential Renew, Phinsys, Coda, Touchstone or TigerEye would be highly advantageous.
