Delighted to be working once more with a leading multi-national Insurance Firm, who are seeking an experienced, ambitious Insurance Litigator to join their high-performing litigation function. Reporting directly to the Head of Litigation, the role will be an important stakeholder to key areas of the companies operations, supporting the international operation and their MGA business.
As a Litigation Counsel, you will be responsible for:
- Oversight and day-to-day management of litigation matters.
- Assisting on claims, coverage and defence work across the companies key areas, including property, warranty and motor.
- Management and delegation to junior counsel and paralegals in the team, and assisting with their development.
- Advising on some non-contentious related work where needed.
- Liaising with key internal stakeholders including Finance, Operations, HR, Underwriting & Claims across the companies multiple entities.
To be successful in this role, you must be:
- Minimum 5 years PQE, qualified lawyer in England & Wales.
- Strong knowledge of Insurance Litigation and Coverage, either from private practice or in-house.
- Some in-house experience either permanently/via secondment would be desirable.
- Some experience in conducting mediation matters is desirable.
- Experienced in looking after different type of claims, including fast-track and multi-track claims.
- Keen to involve yourself in multiple projects and collaborate.
