Delighted to be exclusively working with a global Insurance Broking business, who are seeking to hire a Legal Counsel to join their growing Corporate & Commercial legal function. This is an exciting opportunity working on really interesting and cutting-edge legal work in the Insurance Broking space, reporting to an experienced Senior Legal Counsel.
You will be responsible for:
- Drafting a wide variety of commercial agreements, both Insurance & Non-Insurance contracts.
- Working closely on key integration projects for the business.
- Supporting on Corporate Governance & Corporate restructuring projects.
- Liaising with key stakeholders in both the legal and business operations teams.
- Drafting key corporate documents and letters and working closely with the Company Secretariat on Governance matters.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience gained as a Corporate and/or Commercial lawyer within In-House and/or Private Practice. My client will consider people from 1 year PQE.
- Ideally you will have some experience of Insurance, although not essential.
- Regulated Financial Services experience is required.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of The Companies Act 2006.
- Strong commercial nous and awareness, with the ability to make commercial decisions on legal questions.
- Strong inter-personal and collaboration skills, both with peers and with senior management.
My client can offer a competitive salary and package, including bonus and hybrid working. This position can be based in any of their regional hubs in the U.K. (London, Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester or Bristol), with occasional travel to London once a month.
