Arthur Financial are supporting a leading insurance business with the hire of an Interim Finance Manager on a long-term FTC basis. This is a key backfill hire within a high-performing finance team, supporting BAU finance delivery while a major project is underway. The role will suit a hands-on qualified accountant with strong insurance experience who enjoys operating across management accounting, reporting, and broader finance operations within a collaborative environment.
Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-regarded business where the successful individual will gain broad exposure across finance, reporting, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities- Production of monthly management accounts and finance packs
- Supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Assisting with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
- Supporting the external audit process
- Providing commercial and financial insight to support business decisions
- Maintaining strong relationships across finance, actuarial, and operational teams
- Supporting ongoing finance improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects
- Assisting with broader finance operations where required
- Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience operating at Finance Manager level
- Insurance experience is essential
- Reinsurance exposure advantageous but not essential
- Strong management accounting and reporting experience
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, delivery-focused environment
- Strong Excel and systems skills
- Able to work across multiple priorities within a lean finance team
- Long-term FTC opportunity
- London hybrid working (3 days per week in office — Tuesday & Wednesday core)
- Reporting into the Financial Controller
- Salary up to £95,000
