Head of Claims – Global (Re)Insurance Carrier

Arthur are exclusively supporting a global (re)insurance carrier in the search for a Head of Claims to lead a growing and strategically vital function. This is a high-profile appointment offering the opportunity to build and shape a modern claims operation at a company committed to innovation and market growth.

This role is ideally suited for a senior claims professional who thrives in a leadership position and is motivated by the chance to drive positive change in an evolving organisation. The successful candidate will take full technical and managerial oversight of the claims team across a wide range of product lines, including Property, Energy, Construction, Political Risk, Political Violence, Liability, PI and D&O.

You will be instrumental in developing the team’s structure, strategy, and culture, while also collaborating closely with the senior leadership team on a number of key initiatives. These include the development of their Lloyd’s syndicate, cross-departmental process enhancements, and the promotion of the firm in new and emerging markets. The role also involves ownership of key documentation such as claims protocols, large loss and catastrophe reports, and other strategic materials.

Our client is looking for a driven, commercially minded leader with deep technical expertise and a proven ability to operate across both insurance and reinsurance claims. The ability to work at pace, influence stakeholders at all levels, and lead through change will be critical to succeed in this role.
