Role Summary

We are partnering with a data‑first specialty insurance business seeking a Technical Architect with deep expertise in integration and platform architecture to shape the design and governance of our enterprise ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead API design, documentation, and governance—RESTful, OpenAPI‑compliant, high‑performance interfaces.
  • Collaborate with Data Architects/Engineers to operationalize AI models (Gen AI, Agentic AI, LLMs).
  • Establish secure integration standards: OAuth, API keys, and encryption on Azure.
  • Advise on technology selection, platform implementation, and adherence to architecture standards.
  • Drive .NET and Angular stack evolution focusing on modularity, microservices, and performance.
  • Optimize data platform architecture, Azure Databricks usage, and enforce NFRs (scalability, resilience, DR).

Technical Design & Governance

  • Translate business strategy into phased architecture roadmaps.
  • Conduct architectural/code reviews, provide technical leadership, and mentor engineers.
  • Present recommendations and trade‑offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years in senior technical roles; 5+ as an Architect in software, integration, and technical architecture.
  • Expert in APIs, message queues (Azure Service Bus, Kafka), and Event‑Driven Architecture.
  • RESTful API design, API Gateway management, and OpenAPI mastery.
  • Strong DevOps experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in (Re)Insurance or Financial Services.
  • Expertise in .NET/C# and front‑end architecture (Angular).
  • Knowledge of relational, NoSQL, and data lake architectures.
  • Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, and Agentic AI in cloud environments.
  • Integration of proprietary systems with COTS financial/ERP solutions.
