As a Credit Risk Analyst within a global insurance company's Enterprise Risk Management function, you will support the insurance investment risk team through a range of analytical and reporting responsibilities. You will contribute to the assessment of creditworthiness across multiple asset classes and issuers, helping to inform risk-based decision-making across life and non-life portfolios.
This role offers exposure to structured and private credit, fixed income markets, and insurance balance sheet risk management, working closely with Investment, Finance, and Actuarial teams.
Key Responsibilities- Credit Analysis & Monitoring
- Assess credit profiles of life and non-life investment portfolios using financial statements and external rating agency data.
- Develop and maintain credit risk indicators to monitor portfolio-level risks.
- Support analysis of structured credit, private credit, and other fixed income assets through cash flow modelling and market research.
- Reporting & Committee Support
- Prepare credit reports, dashboards, and committee materials for governance forums (e.g., watchlists, investment committees, asset-liability management, and valuation committees).
- Contribute to periodic portfolio reviews and performance analysis for senior stakeholders.
- Data & Risk Support
- Maintain credit rating databases and support monthly rating validation processes.
- Assist with regulatory and capital reporting requirements (including solvency and capital models).
- Provide data and analytical inputs for stress testing, impairment assessments, and capital modelling assumptions (e.g., default and migration assumptions).
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with colleagues across Risk, Finance, Actuarial, and Investment teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide general analytical and administrative support to the wider team as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualification advantageous).
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint; experience with financial modelling and data analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Collaborative mindset with willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.
- Internship or experience in insurance, investment risk, structured credit, or quantitative/data analysis roles.
- Understanding of structured credit, real estate, or fixed income instruments.

- Exposure to a global insurance and investment risk environment.
