Arthur are partnering exclusively with a large London Market Insurer in the hire of a new Head of Insurance & Underwriting Risk. In this pivotal second-line role, you will provide oversight and influence across underwriting, actuarial, capital and enterprise risk management.
Our client is seeking an experienced risk professional who thrives on challenge, strategic influence and board-level engagement. The role plays a critical part in shaping risk appetite, strengthening model governance and leading ORSA activity in a complex, regulated environment.
Reporting into Group Risk Director, you will provide independent oversight and challenge across underwriting, reserving, capital modelling and exposure management. You will lead the ORSA process end-to-end, oversee internal model governance and validation, and act as a key adviser to senior stakeholders across the business.
To be considered for this role, you must have previous insurance/reinsurance experience and be a qualified actuary or have a strong quantitative risk background.
