I’m supporting a global specialty insurer looking for a hands-on Finance Systems Accountant to join its finance team during a significant Workday implementation.
This is a hybrid role combining finance transformation with BAU accounting. Initially, you’ll focus heavily on Workday testing, data validation, fault finding and report design. As the business approaches go-live, you’ll help transition reporting from SUN into Workday while continuing to support year-end and quarter-end activity.
Key responsibilities:
- Support Workday testing, implementation and data population
- Help design, build and validate financial reports
- Extract and reconcile trial balances
- Test revaluation routines, data flows and accounting processes
- Support the transition from SUN and Q&A into Workday
- Assist with journals, balance-sheet reconciliations and audit queries
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting
- Work across a Lloyd’s syndicate and multiple international carrier entities
The ideal background:
- Hands-on accounting experience within insurance or the Lloyd’s market
- Experience supporting an ERP implementation or finance transformation
- Comfortable working between finance, systems and data teams
- Workday Financials experience would be highly desirable
- OfficeConnect experience would be particularly valuable
- SUN, Q&A or similar reporting-tool experience is beneficial
- Qualified accountant or qualified by experience
- Practical, collaborative and willing to undertake both project and BAU work
You do not need to be a specialist syndicate accountant. The priority is someone who understands insurance finance, has strong systems experience and is comfortable getting properly involved.
