As the business continues to expand, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and supporting secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure that underpins its global technology strategy.
This role is ideal for someone with strong Azure networking expertise, a passion for infrastructure automation, and experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities of the Azure Infrastructure Engineer
- Design, build, and maintain secure, resilient Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Configure and manage Azure networking services, including VNets, routing, firewalls, load balancers, private endpoints, and API Gateways.
- Automate infrastructure deployments using Terraform, Azure Dev Ops, and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot complex networking and connectivity issues across Azure Iaa S, Paa S, and hybrid environments.
- Implement Azure security, governance, and compliance best practices.
- Monitor, optimise, and support cloud platforms to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Work closely with architects, developers, and security teams, producing technical documentation and low‑level designs.
Essential Skills & Experience of the Azure Infrastructure Engineer
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise‑scale Azure infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in Azure networking, including VNets, routing, firewalls, private endpoints, and load balancing.
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, and Azure Dev Ops pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Azure networking and cloud connectivity.
- Experience implementing and managing API Gateways.
- Solid understanding of Azure security, governance, and compliance.
- Scripting experience using Power Shell, Bash, or Python.
