As an actuarial manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the pricing models and strategies for my clients E-Trade business. In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation—such as underwriters, IT teams, business intelligence professionals, and fellow actuaries—to deliver optimal pricing technology and solutions. The successful candidate will manage a team of 5 (including 3 from overseas) and have requirements to be in the London office 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the pricing models that support the E-Trade business
- Lead the monthly price monitoring process and expand coverage to include more products over time
- Engage in stakeholder management, regularly communicating the development of the team to key stakeholders
- Perform regular pricing reviews of e-traded products, analysing the portfolio and providing insights on risk quality and implications to pricing actions
Requirements
- Strong pricing experience, preferably with system-integrated pricing models.
- Experience working with IT on system-wide model implementation and/or data restructuring
- Advanced data skills, with experience working with large datasets using SQL, SAS, R, or Python
- Understanding of P&C products, KPIs such as COR, ULR, rate change, and their relation to profitability
