The Inpatient Unit at Arthur Rank Hospice provides expert care to patients with complex and end‑of‑life care needs. We are holistic in our approach and the care is tailored to each person’s specific needs. The compassionate team of nurses and healthcare assistants provide practical and holistic care supporting patients and their families.

Main duties of the job:

  • Our nurses provide professional, patient‑centred palliative care, ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients, their families and carers.
  • You will lead, support and encourage the sharing of knowledge and skills within the team.
  • Staff within our in‑patient unit work an internal shift pattern which includes early, late, long days, nights and weekends.

Shift times are:

  • Early: 07:30–15:30
  • Late: 13:30–21:30
  • Night: 19:30–08:00
  • Long Days: 07:30–20:00

Successful candidates will be NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) with post registration experience in palliative care or in community, be able to work as part of a team and have excellent communication and leadership skills.

This role is subject to an Enhanced Level DBS Checks with Children’s and Adult’s Barred Lists included.

Starting salary of £32,073 with opportunities to progress to £39,043. Please note that the salary quoted is based on full time hours and needs to be pro‑rated for part‑time posts.
