Are you an ambitious relationship-builder who thrives on inspiring generosity and driving meaningful impact? Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is seeking a passionate Philanthropy Manager to lead our major giving programme and help shape the strategy of this income stream. This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected, mission-driven charity where your expertise in cultivating high-value relationships will directly support the patients and families we care for each year.

In this new role, you will develop and deliver a dynamic major donor strategy, creating compelling cases for support and nurturing lasting partnerships with individuals and key stakeholders. Working closely with our Senior Leadership Team, Trustees, Patrons, and dedicated colleagues across Fundraising and Communications, you’ll have the autonomy and support to secure transformational gifts and grow a sustainable pipeline for the future.

If you’re motivated by purpose, excited by strategic fundraising, and ready to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you. To be successful in this role you’ll have previous experience working within a fundraising or income generation environment where you managed supporter relationships and created fundraising strategies. You’ll also have a good knowledge of the principles and methods of Major Donor fundraising and experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

We’re able to offer the role as either full time (37.5 hours per week) or part time (minimum of 22.5 hours per week) and can offer hybrid working after an initial training and induction period has been completed. Interviews will be held on 22nd and 24th April.

Please note that the salary quoted is based on full time hours and will be pro-rata’d for part time posts. As a Charity with limited funds, it is usual practice for new starters to commence on the minimum of the salary band for the role. Exceptionally, and only for candidates demonstrating significant strengths relevant to the role, we may be able to negotiate on this.

We are a Disability Confident employer, and welcome applications from candidates with disabilities. If you would like support to apply, please contact the HR Team by email and we will be happy to help. Arthur Rank Hospice Charity does not hold a sponsor license; therefore, we are unable to offer sponsorship to individuals who do not currently have the right to work in the UK, or that require sponsorship as a condition of an existing visa.

We are committed to inclusivity, respect, fairness, engagement and equality of opportunity for our patients and their families, our staff and trustees, our volunteers and our supporters. We value the strength that comes with difference and the positive contribution that diversity brings to our community. Therefore, candidates with a disability that meet the minimum criteria will be guaranteed an interview. We are also working to increase diversity throughout the organisation, and we particularly welcome applications from BAME people who are currently under-represented.
