The Inpatient Unit at Arthur Rank Hospice provides expert care to patients with complex and end of life care needs. We are holistic in our approach and the care is tailored to each person's specific needs. The compassionate team of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants provide practical and holistic care supporting patients and their families.

Job responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse you will work as part of a friendly and passionate multi-disciplinary team of specialists, led by a Ward Manager within our hospice in Cambridge. We can accept applications for either part time or full time hours, with a minimum of 23 and maximum of 34.5 per week, we are happy to discuss working hours at interview. These roles are fixed term for 1 year.

Our Nurses provide professional, patient centred palliative care, ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients, their families and carers. You will lead, support and encourage the sharing of knowledge and skills within the team.

Staff within our in-patient unit work an internal shift pattern which includes earlies, lates, long days, nights and weekends. Shift times are: Early: 07:30 - 15:30; Late: 13:30 - 21:30; Night: 19:30 - 08:00; Long Days: 07:30 - 20:00.

Successful candidates will be NMC Registered Nurse (Adult) with post registration experience in palliative care or in community, be able to work as part of a team and have excellent communication and leadership skills. This role is subject to an Enhanced Level DBS Checks with Children's and Adult's Barred Lists included.

Starting salary of £31,049 with opportunities to progress to £37,796. Please note that the salary quoted is based on full time hours and needs to be pro-rated for part time posts. We regret that we are unable to negotiate salary above the maximum stated within the advert.
