Maternity Cover Pastoral Assistant and Behaviour Officer Required for September 2026

Term Time plus 5 Training Days

35 hours per week – 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

One hour unpaid lunch break

Arthur Mellows is located in the village of Glinton on the outskirts of Peterborough. The school is very successful, oversubscribed and supported by a talented and hard‑working staff. Students are well‑behaved and committed learners. Behaviour is excellent and students are keen to learn.

We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our effective Pastoral Team to cover a maternity leave. This is a temporary role and will end with the return of the postholder. The role supports all aspects of student welfare within the College.

The successful candidate will also play a leading role as a Behaviour Officer, supporting and developing provision within our Behaviour Hub. As a Behaviour Officer you will be a recognisable, supportive figure for the whole student body, respond to emotional and behavioural issues, liaise with parents, track and monitor attendance and support Heads of Year.

Part of the role involves carrying out duties during school lunch breaks, which can be claimed for. The qualities of perseverance, understanding, adaptability and resolve are essential for this demanding yet highly rewarding post. This is a physical and active post.

The Four Cs MAT is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments involve regulated activity and are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, Barred Check List and two successful references.
