Arthur Mellows is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic, friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will enjoy working with young people and play a key role in supporting students within the College. They will be a caring, creative, proactive and enthusiastic individual with the ability to support high quality teaching and raise attainment for students across various curriculum areas.

Responsibilities

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. The role requires the candidate to work closely with teachers and other support staff. Your day will be spent in classrooms, working alongside students in small groups or supporting a student on a one-to-one basis to fully understand the lesson. Learning Support Assistants move around the College to support students with their education. We are looking for an empathetic and adaptable individual who thrives under pressure and has the natural ability to solve challenges. The role requires good physical and emotional resilience as part of this role will be to provide personal care for physically disabled students as required. To support our students the ideal candidate will have a good standard of written and spoken English and Maths skills.
