Gallagher Re are seeking to recruit a dynamic and proactive individual to join our Latin America and Caribbean Service Team in a Broker Support role based in Ipswich! You will be providing support to Producers, Brokers and Junior Broker colleagues in servicing our clients.

How you will make an impact:

  • Compile templates to send to global offices to provide information and check the information received back is accurate
  • Review market security information on carriers, checking compliance and financial positions
  • Build / update marketing sheets for Broking Team
  • Produce data and statistics in support of the placement of a client’s reinsurance programme
  • Liaise with Compliance / Sanctions Team on sanctions checks where touch points exist
  • Effectively connect with various stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Work with Sales Team, including Junior Brokers, to ensure effective delivery of client service to clients
  • Monitor creation of slips / endorsements
  • Check files to ensure all information is present and accurate
  • Ensure contract records and workflow items are accurately maintained within transactional broking system
  • Generate accounting entries and issue evidence of cover, debit notes and closing instructions
  • Review and interrogate reinsurance contracts to facilitate billing within agreed timescales
  • Handle and resolve queries from clients and reinsurers
  • Ensure compliance with Gallagher Re policies and Client Excellence Model (CEM) throughout the placement process
  • Produce contractual documentation to a high level and within timescales
  • Maintain files in an orderly manner electronically, ensuring these are within CEM guidelines

About you:

  • Educated to A level standard
  • Willingness to study or already achieved CII qualification
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads with good time management skills
  • Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office suite)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in Spanish essential
  • Eligible to work in the UK
