Overview
Gallagher Specialtyâs Marine division manages a global portfolio of clients across various sectors, including Hull & Machinery, Marine Liability, Ports & Terminals, Cargo, and Yachts. We are seeking a Claims Broker Technician with some prior experience in handling H&M and Yacht claims (including P&I and crew), but the role will also provide opportunities to develop knowledge in other Marine classes
As a key member of our growing team, you will manage a caseload of worldwide marine claims, guiding them from initial notification to settlement. Your commitment to delivering exceptional service will be instrumental in our success.
How you\’ll make an impact
- Manage claims from initial advice through to settlement, ensuring a seamless process for our clients.
- Negotiate claims effectively with clients, Lloyd\’s, and Company markets to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Support Broking Teams in client retention and acquisition efforts
- Utilize your understanding of technical issues in claims presentation to negotiate optimal results for clients.
- Present facts strategically to facilitate the settlement of claims, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Stay informed about market trends and industry changes to provide clients and agents with effective risk management advice, aligned with AJG principles and values.
- Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagherâs shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business
About you
Qualifications
- Cert CII/ Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) desirable
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of the Marine industry and Insurance market
- Detailed knowledge of market claim procedures
Experience
- Proven track record of technical claims handling of all Marine Hull and Liability claims (specific experience with yacht claims desirable)
