Overview
In this role you will grow Gallagher Specialty's Exposure Analytics and Catastrophe Modelling capability, delivering RMS and AIR reports for multiple business units. You will co-own the flagship multiclass facility “Evolve” and present modelling insights to clients and brokers. You will drive new opportunities through analytics expansion, ensure data quality and SLAs, and mentor junior colleagues across the UK and India. This role combines technical modelling with client-facing analytics in a global, fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver Exposure Analytics & Catastrophe Modelling reports (RMS and AIR) for various business units
- Co-own and develop the flagship multiclass facility “Evolve”
- Present Catastrophe Modelling, Exposure Management, and Event response analytics to clients and brokers
- Identify opportunities to expand client and carrier analytics
- Perform quality checks on policies entered into catastrophe models across multiple lines
- Ensure data quality standards and standard operating procedures are followed
- Meet internal/external KPIs and SLAs
- Develop new initiatives in this area
- Mentor and train junior staff in the UK and India
- Manage a team of Catastrophe Analysts in India to uphold modelling best practices and SLA adherence
Key requirements
- Catastrophe Modelling experience in insurer or broker
- Experience with Property Catastrophe Modelling using RMS Risk Modeler or Risk Link
- Strong knowledge of LMP slips and the Lloyd's/London Market
- Degree-level education in Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Engineering or Meteorology
- Professional qualifications such as DIP CII or ACII (or intent to pursue)
- CCR A qualification is desirable
- Interest in data and Natural Catastrophes
- Self-motivated with proactive problem-solving
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong MS Excel and Power BI skills
- Knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS)
- Advanced SQL coding knowledge
- Python or R desirable
