Overview
In this role you will assess and underwrite a diverse Real Estate portfolio within a collaborative team. You’ll work with brokers and colleagues to deliver excellent service while applying underwriting guidelines and risk assessment to drive profitable growth. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with brokers and internal stakeholders to deliver a superior service experience
- Assess and underwrite new and existing Real Estate risks in line with guidelines and authority levels
- Support portfolio development and quotation management, including renewals and term negotiation
- Ensure accurate, compliant policy administration, documentation, and day-to-day broker support
Key requirements
- Previous underwriting experience in Property/Real Estate or related lines
- Solid understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and insurance products
- Ability to analyze complex information and make sound underwriting decisions
- Strong relationship-building with brokers, insurers, clients, and internal teams
- Commercial awareness of portfolio performance and market dynamics
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Proactive, independent work style with team contribution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Progress towards or willingness to study professional qualifications (e.g., CII) would be advantageous
