Overview
In this leadership role, you own the performance of a corporate motor recovery team, guiding claims handlers to meet client targets and service commitments. You partner with management to deliver excellent client service and drive financial outcomes, while coaching colleagues to grow and perform. You will oversee recovery procedures, handle high-profile cases, and support aged debt recovery within a collaborative, growth-focused environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of claims handlers to achieve SLAs and KPIs
- Act as the liaison between claims handlers and management to ensure alignment
- Oversee documentation of recovery procedures and prepare for client reviews
- Monitor performance, provide training, and resolve issues fairly
- Manage high-profile or contentious cases to maintain quality and optimise outcomes
- Support financial targets by controlling the claim lifecycle and assisting with aged debt recovery
Key requirements
- Motor claims handling experience in a legal, insurance, or claims management environment (including pre-litigated claims)
- People management experience in a similar setting
- Direct client-facing experience, including hosting client meetings
- Strong leadership with ability to motivate and drive high performance
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, pragmatic problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building with clients and stakeholders
- Flexible and adaptable mindset for unexpected situations
