Gallagher is seeking a Loss Adjuster to join our team and provide professional loss adjusting advice and services to our clients. In this role, you will communicate openly and accurately with insurers and other stakeholders to expedite the claims process while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. This is a remote based role, with coverage across the Home Counties and London.
Responsibilities
- Work from a home base to manage a caseload of predominantly domestic claims on a day-to-day basis, including traveling to loss sites to investigate claims.
- Provide critical support to policyholders throughout the claims process.
- Assist internal teams with technical claims and provide advice as required.
- Assess claims in line with policy conditions and compile detailed reports with recommendations on liability.
- Liaise with insurers, underwriters, and colleagues as necessary to ensure smooth claims handling.
- Acquire reports from third parties, such as building surveyors, to validate items claimed; manage recovery actions against third parties where applicable.
About You
- Progressing towards professional qualifications would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Knowledge of loss adjuster policies, practices, and procedures.
- Understanding of personal lines / household insurance products and services.
- Exceptional customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and a pragmatic approach.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
