We are seeking an experienced Technical Assistant with a strong Aerospace insurance background to join our growing team. This role requires the ability to independently manage premium calculations, bureau processing, and IBA-related queries while providing technical guidance across complex Aerospace portfolios. The successful candidate will have significant experience within Aerospace insurance and will be confident operating in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment.
How you'll make an impact:
- Interpret and understand complex slip and endorsement wordings.
- Prepare and manage detailed premium calculation sheets, including taxes and brokerage.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Account Handlers on slip and endorsement wordings.
- Independently manage and respond to Velonetic, insurer, and IBA queries.
- Act as a key point of contact for and support the offshore processing team, ensuring queries are handled accurately and efficiently.
- Manage technically complex Aerospace portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Technical Assistant (or similar senior technical) role within Aerospace insurance.
- Strong understanding of Aerospace risks.
- Demonstrable experience producing premium calculations, including brokerage and tax calculations.
- In‑depth knowledge of bureau processing and IBA procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workloads independently.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent technical accuracy.
- Confident communicator, able to support and guide both onshore and offshore teams.
