We are seeking to hire a qualified actuary to join our UK & Ireland team based in London (City). In this role, you will apply your expertise in insurance and reinsurance pricing techniques to provide outstanding client service and contribute to the ambitious growth targets of the team. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, happy to lead meetings and deliver risk solutions. The UK&I team is focused on placing risk solutions within the motor, property, liability and PL (Personal Lines).
How you'll make an impact
- Lead reinsurance pricing analytics on a portfolio of clients, including strategic reviews to refresh and optimise reinsurance strategy.
- Drive analytical broking discussions with reinsurers to help our clients achieve optimal reinsurance terms.
- Conduct client meetings to discuss model outputs, limitations, and assumptions.
- Carry out market analysis to benchmark assumptions on rate change, loss inflation, etc.
- Help drive the team growth through participation in RFPs, team management / mentorship and developing current and prospect client relationships.
About You
- Qualified actuary with circa 10 years' experience.
- Prior experience in insurance and/or reinsurance pricing techniques.
- Ideally from a PL experience although not mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to forming relationships with clients.
- Sound knowledge and confidence in presenting model outputs, model limitations, and assumptions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
