We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Motor Claims Handler to join our Ipswich team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting our customers through their claims journey, delivering a high level of service while managing your own portfolio of cases. You’ll be joining a business built on integrity, innovation and collaboration, where we prioritise client success, employee development and delivering exceptional claims solutions. How you'll make an impact
- Manage a portfolio of motor claims (damage and credit hire) from first notification through to settlement
- Investigate claims and make decisions on liability and quantum within your authority level
- Negotiate settlements effectively, ensuring fair and timely outcomes
- Liaise with a variety of stakeholders including clients, brokers, suppliers, claimants and their representatives
- Deliver excellent customer service across multiple communication channels, including phone and email
- Proactively manage claims to reduce lifecycle and achieve the best outcome for all parties
- Ensure all claims are handled in line with internal policies, regulatory requirements and service level agreements
- Manage your workload effectively to meet team targets and expectations
About You
- Base understanding of insurance principles
- Experience handling motor claims, including accidental damage and third-party damage
- Knowledge of credit hire claims is desirable but not essential
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to empathise and build rapport
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills
- Ability to manage your own workload and meet performance targets
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to claims handling
- Willingness to learn, develop and progress within the role
- Eligible to work in the UK
