Overview

Lead, guide and implement complex Artex Capital Solutions (ACS) advisory projects for new and existing clients including large and sophisticated capital markets participants. The role focuses on analyzing, designing and implementing financial, legal and strategic constructs to optimize the (re)insurance strategies of ACS client organizations.

Advisory Projects

  • Lead and guide complex ACS advisory projects for new and existing clients.
  • Analyze business processes, develop financial models, and improve client performance.
  • Structure and implement financial, legal, and strategic constructs to optimize (re)insurance strategies.

Client and Regulatory Support

  • Act as the primary advisor for new market entrants, guiding them from conceptual to operational stages.
  • Conduct comparative jurisdictional analyses to recommend optimal strategies.
  • Advise on license classes, asset strategies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the entire BMA Authorization Life Cycle (ALC), including submissions and client preparation for regulatory meetings.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the BMA, defending and aligning clients’ business plans.

Financial and Risk Modelling

  • Build financial projections aligned with the Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) framework.
  • Run BSCR models for forward and reverse modelling to assess risk and capitalization levels.
  • Assist with capital optimization, including structuring debt and equity for optimal classification.
  • Conduct cashflow planning and budgeting.

Product and Solution Development

  • Develop risk transfer solutions and products tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver client regulatory approvals.

Governance and Operating Model Design

  • Design corporate and risk governance frameworks at the business plan stage.
  • Develop operating models, including decisions on in‑house vs outsourced operations and substance requirements.

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Work closely with internal teams, regulatory bodies, and the wider Artex network to deliver client solutions.
  • Provide regular reports to the ACS Leadership on product expansion and revenue initiatives.
  • Contribute as a member of the ACS advisory team.

About you

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the (re)insurance sector with a demonstrated track record in executing structured reinsurance, retroactive reinsurance or insurance risk securitization transactions, or an equivalent background in enterprise risk management analytics, actuarial science, insurance corporate finance and financial modelling.
  • Experience working with regulators in either Bermuda, Cayman, Ireland or the United Kingdom would be advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business, Accounting or related field (holder of either CPA, CA, CFA, FSA or equivalent designation preferred).
  • Ability to analyze financial statements combined with an understanding of international accounting and solvency standards as well as capital rating models.
  • Prior experience actively managed client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven management and leadership ability.
  • Confident, strong communicator in a variety of settings including client board meetings (written and verbal).
  • Flexible enough to maintain high quality work in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
  • Inspire and motivate team members to achieve goals.
  • Analytical mindset to assess complex business challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to think strategically and make data‑driven decisions.
