The full-time, independent Manager Research Team (MRT) at Gallagher is responsible for identifying and researching the best investment managers from around the world for the firm’s broad range of clients. The team’s philosophy is to select just a handful of managers per asset class, using a high-conviction, unconflicted approach. As a recent graduate, you will be a key member of the Manager Research Team focused on private markets. Your role will involve forming and challenging views on investment managers by conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of information sourced from investment managers and independent sources, attending due diligence meetings with investment managers, and collecting and interrogating data to support views. You will support our provision of advice to the firm’s clients by preparing market and manager research materials, due diligence reports, and commentaries for our internal Investment Strategy Committee and client teams.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research the best investment managers for clients across multiple asset classes.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of information from investment managers and independent sources.
  • Attend due diligence meetings with investment managers.
  • Collect and interrogate data to support investment views.
  • Prepare market and manager research materials, due diligence reports, and commentaries for internal and client audiences.

About You

  • Passionate about finance and markets, with demonstrated ability.
  • Willing or have begun work toward a professional qualification (CFA, CAIA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with external analytics and data platforms such as Bloomberg, eVestment, Preqin, Pitchbook, for sourcing, checking, consolidating and evaluating data.
