We are seeking a proactive problem solver, a skilled relationship builder, and a trusted expert to join our team on a 6-month fixed‑term contract, working fully remotely. As a Credit Control Specialist within one of the UK’s leading Managing General Agents (MGAs), you will play a pivotal role in our London Market Marine business. You will take ownership of a portfolio of broker accounts, ensuring the timely collection of aged premiums and the accurate allocation of cash. Acting as the crucial link between brokers and internal business units, you will drive effective solutions, resolve discrepancies, and deliver results with resilience and integrity.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Investigating unallocated cash and liaising with brokers and clients.
- Collecting premiums and ensuring timely payments.
- Managing high volumes of queries and resolving discrepancies.
- Performing client statement reconciliations and providing detailed commentary on aged debt reports.
- Collaborating with internal teams and clients to improve processes and ensure compliance with Gallagher’s policies and external regulations.
About You:
- Prior experience of working within IBA credit control, ideally within marine or specialty is essential.
- Your CV will highlight your skills and experience in identifying and resolving the root cause to resolve and reconcile the accounts.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Resilience, integrity, and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Experience in financial services or insurance is preferred but not essential.
