We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Executive to join our UK team. This role is focused on developing and nurturing relationships with broker distribution channels and their clients, taking a consultative approach to identifying and solving complex risk financing challenges — including the strategic use of captives.
How you’ll make an impact
- Broker Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and their client networks to identify opportunities for alternative risk solutions.
- Consultative Selling: Lead discussions with brokers and prospects to understand their risk profiles and financing needs, offering tailored solutions including captives and other alternative structures.
- Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through broker channels, industry events, and targeted outreach.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with internal technical teams to develop feasibility studies, program designs, and proposals that align with client objectives.
- Presentation & Reporting: Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations, reports, and proposals to clients and brokers, articulating complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Pipeline Management: Lead the development of a personal sales pipeline, ensuring timely progression of opportunities to meet performance targets. Maintain accurate records of business development activities, including Salesforce updates, forecasting, and reporting to senior leadership.
About You
- Industry Experience: Insurance broking, captive advisory, or alternative risk financing with proven track record in commercial insurance sales and programme development.
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to build rapport and trust with brokers and senior client stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and risk data.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills for modeling and analysis; familiarity with risk financing structures.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation delivery.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to understand client business models and align risk solutions with strategic objectives.
- Self-Management & Collaboration: A team player, able to work alongside & with other team members to progress or enhance our offering, and at the same time able to be managed remotely.
