Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Executive to join our UK team. This role is focused on developing and nurturing relationships with broker distribution channels and their clients, taking a consultative approach to identifying and solving complex risk financing challenges — including the strategic use of captives.

How you\’ll make an impact

  • Broker Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and their client networks to identify opportunities for alternative risk solutions.
  • Consultative Selling: Lead discussions with brokers and prospects to understand their risk profiles and financing needs, offering tailored solutions including captives and other alternative structures.
  • Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through broker channels, industry events, and targeted outreach.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with internal technical teams to develop feasibility studies, program designs, and proposals that align with client objectives.
  • Presentation & Reporting: Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations, reports, and proposals to clients and brokers, articulating complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Pipeline Management: Lead the development of a personal sales pipeline, ensuring timely progression of opportunities to meet performance targets. Maintain accurate records of business development activities, including CRM (Salesforce) updates, forecasting, and reporting to senior leadership.

About You

  • Industry Experience: Insurance broking, captive advisory, or alternative risk financing with proven track record in commercial insurance sales and programme development.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build rapport and trust with brokers and senior client stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and risk data.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills for modelling and analysis; familiarity with risk financing structures.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation delivery.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to understand client business models and align risk solutions with strategic objectives.
  • Self-Management & Collaboration: A team player, able to work alongside & with other team members to progress or enhance our offering but at the same time able to be managed remotely.
