Gallagher UK is partnering with Career Returners for a second year to launch their Career Returners Programme aimed at supporting returning professionals whose previous careers were in Insurance, Financial Services or Consulting industries.

How you\’ll make an impact
The Catastrophe Modelling Analyst, based in London, will join the International Catastrophe Analytics team with a focus on property & casualty lines of business. The team assists clients in analysing the risk to their business from all aspects of natural perils and catastrophes.
- Contribute to renewal modelling projects on domestic and global accounts
- Engage on developing and deploying service offering to clients alongside our research teams and external academic partners.
- Real-time reporting and analysis of natural disasters and supporting clients post-event.
- Year-round client engagement on topics such as model interpretation, portfolio management and bespoke analytical projects in collaboration with the local brokers in London.
- Contribute to broader projects including climate related projects as Gallagher Re supports clients with the evolving regulatory landscape on climate change in the UK.
The Actuarial Analyst, based in London, will join the International team. In this role, you will apply your expertise in financial services pricing techniques to provide outstanding client service and contribute to the growth of the team. The ideal individual will be someone with interpersonal, analytical and numeracy skills.
- Risk analysis and modelling of clients’ portfolios
- Valuation and pricing of reinsurance contracts, structured insurance solutions and capital market products.
- Delivering presentations and advice to insurance groups
- Involvement in renewals, tenders and ad-hoc projects.
- Supporting development of product innovation, both to expand existing relationships and to facilitate entry into new ones.
About you
- Problem-Solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Experience in insurance markets with knowledge about insurance business (desirable)
- Interest to be client facing and leading analytics relationship with key clients.
- IT skills, ideally with computer programming skills (e.g. SQL, VBA, R).
- Interpersonal skills.
- A great teammate and highly motivated to learn and grow within a global market leader.
