Stock and Quality Controller

Our stock control department is looking for an individual with experience of fresh produce and working within the supply chain industry to join the family on a full time, permanent basis as a stock and quality controller.

Job Introduction

£12.93 per hour, Full Time – Permanent, 42.5% overtime eligibility.

Daily Tasks

• To comply with Company Core Values
• Record all checks carried out following the system directed by the management team. This may be paperwork or electronic.
• Carry out checks on deliveries arriving at site.
• Complete quality audits of products.
• Complete stock counting on a regular basis.
• Ensure production rotation is accurate using date codes and/or expiry dates to ensure compliance and to prevent waste.
• Carry out investigations into not available products, stock adjustments and errors and follow up with any required actions.
• To report any anomalies identified during QC checks immediately to the relevant supervisor or manager and take actions when required.
• Quarantine any stock which does not meet the standards required and communicate to the relevant buying team.
• There may be a business need for you to carry out other duties within the business that are within your skill set.
• To comply with Company Health & Safety policy and take responsibility for your actions and report any Health & Safety concerns.

Schedule

Day Shift, 06:00 to 15:00. 5 days out of 7.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Physically Fit
• Good understanding of written English
• Must be able to work night shifts
• Must be self motivated

Experience

• Food industry : 1 year (required)
• Supply chain : 1 year (preferred)
• Working with BRC Accreditation : 1 year (preferred)
• Quality control : 1 year (required)
