Responsibilities
- As a Principal at Arthur D. Little’s Risk & Resilience Practice, you are expected to lead the successful delivery of the assignments for our clients and further support the growth of our business.
- The focus of this particular role is the safety area of our business, with a primary (but not exclusive) focus in rail and other transport.
- Support growth of our safety and risk business as part of our Risk & Resilience team.
- Collaborate and support our other practices particularly the Travel, Transport & Hospitality industry practice, and Performance functional practice.
- Understand client needs and articulate these in client proposals to set out how we can provide value adding assistance.
- Provide clear, focused support and safety and risk management expertise to your team in structuring and solving client problems.
- Manage the workload while coaching team members to ensure successful project delivery.
- Engage in business development activities to further grow our business (supporting our Partners).
- Build relationships beyond project assignments and support/develop opportunities for future business.
- Support the development and marketing of leading-edge value propositions.
Qualifications
- Extensive safety consulting experience in railways including management system review, change management and safety leadership and governance assessment and development.
- Safety consulting experience in other public transport modes (metro, bus/coach and airline) and other related sectors such as construction and energy/utilities would be beneficial.
- Proven track record of managing senior client stakeholders and leading teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex challenges and communicate clear, actionable insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with credibility at senior executive level.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Entrepreneurship to break new ground, and eager to take personal risks in working environment.
- Knowledge of application of AI techniques would be highly advantageous.
- Willingness and availability to travel internationally for client meetings and project delivery.
