We have an exciting opportunity for two dynamic and motivated individuals to join our school and help shape its future. We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic classroom practitioners, with excellent organisational skills and a good rapport with children, to be Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) within our SEND Inclusion Base.
As part of the Osborne Cooperative Academy Trust, the school is proud of its inclusive ethos and the broad and enriched curriculum that it provides for all pupils. The supportive staff have high aspirations for the pupils and strive to make a difference in the lives of the children and their families.
This position will involve:
- Supporting pupils, to ensure they are engaged in learning activities
- Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom
- Acting as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and promoting positive pupil behaviour, to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures about health & safety, welfare and wellbeing and safeguarding
- Establishing positive relationships with the pupils, parents and other staff in the school
The successful candidates will:
- Be passionate, creative, motivated and have a positive outlook
- Have good basic English and Mathematics (GCSE Level 4 - 9 or equivalent)
- Have previous LSA experience or relevant qualification (HLTA or Level 6 qualification would be desirable)
- Be committed to raising outcomes of all students
- Be a great communicator with excellent organisational skills and a helpful attitude
- Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team
- Be dedicated to good classroom management
- Care about the welfare and achievement of every child
- Be innovative and have a passion for improvement

- Follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise students’ welfare
