The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to join our growing team and help strengthen our SME customer base. The Role
In this newly created role, reporting to our Head of Sales, you’ll play a key part in expanding our SME portfolio by:
- Managing and developing existing customer accounts.
- Identifying, nurturing and securing new business opportunities.
- Taking ownership of a defined portfolio and delivering against sales KPIs.
- Engaging with customers via phone, email, video calls, and presentations.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, products, and market developments.
- Working closely with our experienced team, gaining insights into our products and customers to build strong, lasting relationships.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines commercial drive with a genuine interest in the food ingredients industry. You’ll bring:
- Experience in business development, account management, or B2B sales support, preferably within FMCG
- Ideally some background or exposure to the food ingredients, nutrition, or related sectors.
- Perhaps some technical or NPD knowledge in a relevant sector.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
- A self‑motivated, proactive approach with the ambition to grow in a technical sales environment.
- Strong IT skills and experience with ERP/CRM
What we offer

- A competitive salary up to £35,000 with uncapped commission, OTE (£40,000–£45,000+).
- A 35 hour working week based at our Epping (CM16) office, with free parking provided and an early finish on Fridays.
