To support our department the UK,we are currently offering a position as a Business Development Manager – Spine.
Arthrex is leading the introduction of its spine portfolio into the UK market with a clear focus on long-term sustainable growth, market penetration, and profitability. The role oversees every facet of UK Spine Product Management and sales leadership, driving innovative technology launches, strategic alignment across departments, and effective supply chain coordination. By delivering medical education, Innovation Point events, and tailored training for the sales force, it ensures the portfolio is positioned for impact and excellence.
Purpose and objectives of the position:
- Launch and lead Arthrex spine portfolio into the UK market and deliver long-term sustainable growth.
- Implementation of measures to achieve the defined sales targets in terms of market penetration, sales and earnings.
- Responsible for all aspects of UK Spine Product Management and sales leadership for the spine portfolio.
- Help to deliver clear strategy for portfolio to UK salesforce and across all departments.
- Help to lead product launches of innovative technology for portfolio.
- Assist with managing Supply Chain and DLS to ensure maximum efficiency and supply planning.
- Develop Innovation Point events and Medical Education for portfolio.
- Support sales force training
Tasks andresponsibilities:
- Identification and sales conversion of new spine customers in the UK market.
- Ensure that all set sales targets are achieved and that the sales strategies are adhered to.
- Supervision of key accounts and relevant specialist groups.
- Continuous customer analysis (sales, products, etc.) via the CRM system
- Regular business management, controlling and reporting to the National Sales Manager – Spine
- Close cooperation with Product Management, Sales Management, Medical Education, HEMA as well as other departments
- Direction leadership and participation in congresses and events
- Lead portfolio strategy in line with global strategy for the UK market with focus on flagship and strategic accounts and partnership sales.
- Manage, develop and expand key UK KOL surgeon relationships.
- Operational supply chain responsibilities for portfolio include leading forecasting, new product introductions, backorder management, DLS, consignments, complaints and workshop.
- Assist with managing and developing Arthrex UK Medical Education with Med Ed team at Innovation Point & 3rd party events programme for portfolio.
Education and professional experience:
- Degree educated within relevant field (such as medical, anatomy, sciences, sports science or physiotherapy)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Orthopaedic medical sales.
- Strong experience of selling into Spine market.
- Experience of Product Management highly beneficial.
- Experience of line management beneficial.
- Full UK Driving License.
