Key Responsibilities

  • Technical and managerial delivery of civils projects, including drainage, roads, and renewable sector opportunities.
  • Client facing, comfortable leading bids and tenders, exploring new opportunities – particularly in energy, defence and manufacturing sectors.
  • Understanding the development needs of team members and leading them to perform at their best.
  • Liaising with multidisciplinary groups and teams to provide clients with a fully integrated approach to projects.

About You

  • Drive and ambition to succeed, supporting the business to do the same.
  • Relevant experience of working on multi-disciplinary projects and tasks.
  • Experience in an engineering consultancy, with particular expertise in project managing and delivering civils projects.
  • Demonstrable technical excellence in civil engineering design.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and guidance.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) including production of clear and precise technical reports and effective presentation of findings/recommendations.
  • People management and staff mentoring experience beneficial.
  • Ability to work to tight timescales and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering or other relevant degree, experience and skills.
  • Chartered Member of ICE, or demonstrably working towards chartership.

Additional Information

  • May require travel (including occasional overnight stays) across the UK and overseas, depending on project requirements.
  • A full clean driving licence desirable.
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK required.
